As much as I hate to say it, Fall is right around the corner. On the other hand, that also means that the Wisconsin Solo and Small Firm Conference (WSSF) is also only two months away. The conference website is now up and taking registrations.
After a year at the nearby Wilderness Resort, this year’s conference is back at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells. As usual, there are four program tracks, Substantive Law, Practice Management, Technology and Quality of Life/Ethics plus a lot of interesting plenary sessions. I have the honor to be serving as the Chair of the Technology Track this year with the much appreciated assistance of co-chair Sean Sweeney.
The full conference schedule can be found online but to give you a preview, the tech track features sessions on Adobe Acrobat, Creating Legal Forms, Paperless Office, Security, iPads and Tablets, Maximizing Efficiency of Support Staff, Tips and Tricks for Using the Software You Already Have, and a first ever online joint presentation with the Illinois Solo and Small Firm Conference about working remotely. I am presenting a number of times and I will post those on the KPM Facebook Fan Page and the Lawtopia Facebook Fan Page.
Krause Practice Management will be exhibiting again this year and, once again, one of my Lawtopia partners (Dan Hutchison) will be lending a hand in the booth. We hope to see you at the conference.dan hutchison, Wisconsin Solo and Small Firm Conference
