The new interface we now see in Microsoft Word 2007 has a look and feel which is considerably different in many respects than what was available in earlier versions, most notably 2002 (also known as XP) and 2003. Once you get used to it, the 2007 interface is quite nice. It can be rather frustrating, however, to have to search for functions that were so well known in 2003. Microsoft has published a useful interactive “translator” which is quite helpful. The tool shows a screen that looks like Word 2003. When a function is selected, the tool shows you where to find the same function in Word 2007. Cool, eh! The link to the translator can be found at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/HA100744321033.aspx?pid=CH100487431033.
