Thursday Tips and Tricks: MetaJure – Wildcard Searches

Use Wildcard Searches in MetaJure

Wildcard searches are not simply exact string matches, but are based on character pattern matching between the characters specified in a query and words in documents that contain those character patterns. MetaJure offers a few ways to use wildcard searches.

Single Character Wildcard
Single character wildcard searches can be performed by using the ? symbol. For example, to search for documents containing either the word “text” or “test”, you could search for “te?t”.

Multiple Character Wildcard
To perform a multiple character wildcard search use the * symbol. For example, to search for test, tests or tester, you could search for “test*”.
