Default Reminders in Time Matters

A question I am often asked at Time Matters Boot Camps is how to set a default set of reminders for a specific type of Event or ToDo. There are actually several ways to do this.

The simplest way to assign default reminders is within the Classification Code setup dialog. The reminder field allows you to type a default set of reminders for a specific Classification Code. The field will hold a maximum of 24 characters and can consist of numbers, commas and hyphens.

Other methods for assigning default reminders are through AutoEntry Forms and within a Chain Template. Interestingly, either of these methods can be used to set default reminders that override the Classification Code defaults. In other words, you set Classification Code defaults for a particular code to 7,1 and use an AutoEntry Form that pulls in the same code but different reminders.
